The Rank Group (LSE:RNK), the bingo and casino operator, confirmed Richard Harris as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.
Harris had served as Interim CEO since 30 January, following a search process run by the Nominations Committee under chair John Ott, with support from executive search firm MWM Consulting.
He previously held the role of Chief Financial Officer at Rank for four years before stepping into the top job.
"The Board unanimously agreed that Richard was the outstanding choice," said John Ott, Chair of Rank Group, adding that Harris will lead delivery of the group's medium-term target of at least £100m in operating profit.
Harris said he was "proud of what Rank has achieved" during his tenure as CFO and looked forward to "building on this momentum" as the group evolves its strategy.
The appointment caps a leadership transition that began in January, with Rank now turning to execution of its medium-term profit target and longer-term strategic plan.
