The product

An app-based subscription tier is in development, and until the launch, our editorial output is entirely free to read in full on the website.

The platform exists to give retail investors a structured, daily picture of the markets they care about. We cut through noise and marketing dressed up as journalism to focus on content that genuinely informs and engages our users.

We are an independent publication. We seek to put our users' interests at the centre of our decision-making. Coverage decisions are made on newsworthiness and reader value rather than commercial relationships, advertising, or relationships with issuers, brokers, or any other party. In short, we're building this platform to serve users who want to stay on top of fast-moving market developments without sensationalism, spin or the influence of external interests.

Tickstock is built for a reader who takes their portfolio seriously, yet doesn't have time to read every line of every company announcement all at once. We bring context and insight garnered from broker research, market commentators, senior executives and dynamic breaking news from the wide-open world. Our readers want a publication that does the structured work for them, and is honest about how it does it.

How we produce content

Tickstock content is produced with an AI-assisted, editor-in-the-loop methodology.

Our proprietary automation platform handles the speed, volume and precision; our experienced human expertise handles the nuance, judgment, and accountability.

Every article passes through a rigorous quality control architecture; this robust system is what gives us confidence in our content. Meanwhile, the platform's knowledge and intelligence architecture is what makes verification possible at the pace and volume we operate at.

Every AI-assisted Newsroom-bylined article carries a footer disclosure linking to our full AI disclosure page. Meanwhile, guest contributor and columnist pieces are bylined to the named contributor and are not produced through the Newsroom AI pipeline, on-page disclosures makes that distinction clear.

For more information about our approach to technology, you can read more via our fact-checking and AI disclosure policy pages.

Founder & publisher

The platform is developed by The Creamery Media Company, founded and owned by Jamie Ashcroft.

Jamie brings deep experience and expertise in business and financial journalism, economics, software development and digital publishing technologies. He is the architect of the editorial automation systems that power Tickstock.

Editorial accountability for TickStock sits with the founder/publisher and the platform's underlying editor-in-the-loop methodology.

Daily editorial work runs through the Newsroom pipeline, which is operated by the TickStock editors team.

Editorial team

TickStock's editorial team is described here in criteria-oriented terms — the standards each role meets. As named contributors are confirmed, their profiles will populate this page below the role they hold; the criteria framing remains as the publication's standing description of the standard for that role type.

Contributing Editors

Mid-career or later financial journalists with verified track records in business, markets, or sector reporting. Contribute editorial input, occasional commissioning, and bylined pieces in their domain.

Columnists

Recognised voices in their fields — sell-side or buy-side analysts, fund managers, financial journalists, or specialist commentators — contributing regular bylined columns on a defined cadence.

Advisory Editors

Senior editorial or industry experience, lending credentials and oversight to the publication and consulting on direction.

Specialist Contributors

Domain experts — academics, sector analysts, macro commentators, thematic writers — contributing occasional bylined pieces in their field.

Ownership and funding

TickStock is published by Creamery Media Ltd, a company registered in Ireland (Companies Registration Office, company no. 5304388). Sole director and founder: Jamie Ashcroft. There are no external investors at launch.

Revenue at launch comes from advertising, with a subscription product in development. We will disclose any material changes to ownership or funding here. The ownership and funding page carries the full disclosure.

Editorial policies

TickStock's editorial standards are documented across a set of public policy pages, each of which describes a specific aspect of how we operate.
