The Mission Group (AIM:TMG), the AIM-listed collective of creative, sports and marketing technology agencies, said Non-Executive Chair David Morgan MBE will step down from the board on 31 December.
Morgan rejoined the board in November 2023 to steer a value restoration plan aimed at rebuilding the Group's balance sheet and strengthening its leadership.
CEO John Carey, appointed over the past year, will succeed Morgan as Executive Chair from January 2027.
Carey has launched a "Simplify, Prioritise, Invest" strategy focused on trimming Mission's agency portfolio and cost base, targeting high-value opportunities and AI innovation, and pushing into select new growth markets.
Progress against those priorities featured in interim results for the six months to 30 June, published separately today.
The board has also added three new non-executive directors over the past year: Claudine Collins, Jon Kempster and Emma Wright.
"Mission is going places and is in very safe hands," Morgan said, adding that Carey had made the Group "leaner yet more dynamic" and built "the best" senior management team in the business.
Carey said Morgan's departure comes with the Group "in a position of strength", and that Mission will continue to draw on his industry knowledge before he leaves at year-end.
