Acceler8 Ventures (LSE:AC8) has secured approval from Jiangxi Sports Lottery for its portfolio company Hui10 to launch Sports Lottery+ within China Mobile's retail network across the province.
China Mobile is the world's largest mobile network operator, with more than 1 billion subscribers across mainland China and 30 million in Jiangxi alone.
Hui10 is Acceler8's principal operating business, having built its Sports Lottery+ platform around UnionPay-certified lottery point-of-sale terminals, AI-enabled tools and a loyalty programme that rewards users with "Lucky World Beans" redeemable against merchandise and services.
The company has been rolling the platform out across Inner Mongolia following a pilot in Hohhot, with expansion into six further provinces, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Liaoning, Jiangsu and Shanxi, expected over the next six months.
Under the Jiangxi arrangement, China Mobile's local arm will market and promote Sports Lottery+ through its own customer channels, while Hui10 operates the authorised physical units and a connected digital platform.
The company said it marks the first time the China Mobile retail format has been used as a regulated physical setting for the offering, adding a new acquisition channel alongside dedicated lottery shops.
"Sports lottery approval for the implementation of the China Mobile Sports Lottery+ model in Jiangxi enables us to leverage the considerable China Mobile network," said Daniel Levine, chief executive of Acceler8.
The platform's modular design is intended to accommodate further approved products, including the technical capability to support paperless play.
