Cohort reaffirms FY2027 growth outlook at AGM

Cohort (AIM:CHRT), the AIM-listed independent technology group serving defence and related markets, said trading in the year to date has been consistent with the Board's expectations ahead of its Annual General Meeting.

The outlook for growth in the 2027 financial year remains unchanged, weighted to the second half as in previous years.

As at mid-September, the order book stood at around £700m, underpinning nearly 90% of current market consensus revenue expectations for FY2027.

Last year the Group delivered record revenue, adjusted operating profit and earnings per share, alongside a record closing order book and a positive net cash position, and raised its dividend by 10%, a rise it has made every year since its 2006 IPO.

Last month German subsidiary ELAC, marking its 100th year of operation, secured a €140.7m contract to collaborate with Saab on integrated sonar systems for the Polish Orka Submarine Programme, with deliveries running into the mid-2030s.

Cohort agreed a new bank facility in April, tripling its size to £175m with an additional £50m accordion, providing what it called "significant financial flexibility" to fund product development, facilities and acquisitions while managing working capital fluctuations.

The Group said it continues to see good prospects for further order intake, supporting its medium-term aim to lift net margins to a mid-teens percentage.

Half-year results for the six months to 31 October are due in December.
