GenIP (AIM:GNIP) has soft-launched its Invention Evaluator platform, with customers in Chile, Singapore, the United States and the United Kingdom now trialling the product ahead of a planned commercial launch in December.
The AIM-listed technology consultancy develops AI-driven intellectual-property services and software, helping research organisations and corporate clients evaluate and commercialise their innovations across a distribution footprint spanning more than 25 countries.
The platform gives customers a single place to submit inventions, receive results, compare opportunities and manage a full portfolio, combining AI-assisted research with expert analyst review while keeping confidential technology disclosures out of AI systems.
GenIP said greater automation should cut delivery time and increase capacity, while the planned annual subscription model is designed to give the company greater revenue visibility.
The soft launch marks a shift from GenIP's existing model of delivering individual Invention Evaluator reports, sold to institutional clients in Chile, the UK and North America, toward an ongoing platform-based subscription service.
It follows GenIP's move last month to bring full operation of the Invention Evaluator platform in-house, ending a shared-margin arrangement with Phosphorix after a three-month transition, with new Chief Product Officer Harin Vaghela now overseeing the product.
"By moving to a subscription-based model we will have greater capacity to produce more reports and the infrastructure to convert our existing pipeline into scalable revenue," said chief executive Melissa Cruz.
The company said feedback from trial customers is helping refine the product and its commercialisation approach ahead of the December launch.
