Mindflair (AIM:MFAI), the AIM-quoted investor in artificial intelligence technology, has highlighted that three of its portfolio companies have received industry recognition this month.
In a stock market statement, it said that Disseqt AI has been named one of five finalists from more than 500 entrants for NVIDIA's Open Models Codefest EMEA, with the final held in Berlin on 20 October.
Working alongside NVIDIA mentors and T-Systems, Disseqt AI built a sovereign AI solution for public-sector services that combines its assurance and compliance technology with NVIDIA's AI models, correctly identifying source information in 97% of test cases while maintaining data sovereignty.
Disseqt AI, held within Sure Valley Ventures' third fund in which Mindflair holds an interest, won the KPMG Global Tech Innovator Ireland competition last month and is due to compete against national winners from 20 other countries at a global final at Web Summit in Lisbon in November.
Stylus, which is developing an AI marking service for handwritten student work, was selected for the Onstage W26 Top 100, one of 100 companies chosen from 1,350 applicants by Onstage's venture capital partners.

Meanwhile, Vizgard, a developer of AI and computer vision technology for defence and security applications, was included in Beauhurst's Top 100 UK Defence Tech Companies 2026, a list that ranks UK-headquartered defence technology businesses by total equity funding raised rather than revenue or commercial performance.
"We are pleased to see the recent industry recognition of three of our portfolio companies," said Nicholas Lee, director of Mindflair, citing Disseqt's work in sovereign and assured AI, Stylus's selection by venture capital partners and Vizgard's inclusion in the defence technology rankings.
