Image Scan Holdings (AIM:IGE) expects full-year revenue of approximately £3.4m for the year ended 30 September, more than double the £1.6m reported in the prior year, as the AIM-listed X-ray screening and inspection specialist swung to a profit before tax of approximately £0.3m, against a loss of £0.3m in FY25.
The company closed the year, which it described as one of its strongest in recent years, with cash of approximately £1.4m and an order book of around £1.4m heading into FY27.
It attributed the turnaround to newer products that it has introduced in recent years, which it said contributed materially to revenue alongside improved contract conversion and deliveries across its three core areas: portable X-ray, industrial inspection and aftersales.
The result builds on a firmer first half, when Image Scan reported revenue of £1.32m against £0.35m a year earlier, alongside a return to profit before tax of £0.08m and net cash of £0.96m, a recovery that Zeus Capital said it would treat the FY26 year-end as the key test of.
In June, the company won a competitive international tender to supply 25 ThreatScan portable X-ray units for explosive ordnance disposal operations to a European government defence organisation, a contract it expected to recognise the bulk of in the current financial year.
Image Scan also pointed to its acquisition of ClanTect, the human presence detection technology business bought in August 2026, as broadening its portfolio and opening new opportunities through its international partner network.

ClanTect secured its first significant contract since joining the Group in September, an order for six human presence detection systems for state border security operations across Eurasia, which the company cited as early validation of the deal's strategic logic.
"FY26 has been a defining year for Image Scan," said chief executive Vince Deery, adding that the results are "a strong endorsement of the product strategy we have pursued" and that the ClanTect deal "shows how carefully selected acquisitions can complement organic growth."
The company described the ClanTect transaction as the beginning of a wider acquisition strategy, with the board continuing to assess opportunities to strengthen its portfolio and extend market access while maintaining financial discipline.
