Image Scan's ClanTect wins first border security contract

Image Scan Holdings (AIM:IGE), the AIM-listed specialist in X-ray screening and security inspection technology, said ClanTect has won its first significant contract since joining the Group.

The order covers six ClanTect human presence detection systems (HPDS), destined for state border security operations across Eurasia.

The company called the win an early validation of the acquisition's strategic logic, pointing to the combination of ClanTect's detection technology with Image Scan's international sales channels and partner network.

ClanTect's systems use vibration sensing and proprietary signal processing to detect people concealed in vehicles, trucks and trailers, complementing 3DX-Ray's existing X-ray inspection portfolio across security, defence and industrial markets.

The latest HPDS version adds wireless sensor technology, allowing more than one vehicle to be screened simultaneously and boosting throughput at border checkpoints and ports.

Chief executive Vincent Deery was quoted in the announcement without further comment on financial terms or contract value disclosed.
