BRCK Group (AIM:BRCK) said Non-Executive Chairman John Richards will step down following the conclusion of the 2027 Annual General Meeting and Independent Non-Executive Director Susan McErlain has been appointed Senior Independent Director with immediate effect.
Richards was appointed Non-Executive Chairman in March 2018, led the board through admission to trading on AIM in August 2019 and through M&A including the transformational acquisition of Taylor Maxwell in July 2021 and the earnings-enhancing purchase of Jacksons, and the construction materials distributor reported further growth in its full-year trading update for the year ended 31 March.
"Susan's extensive knowledge and relevant board experience positions her well as our Senior Independent Director," said John Richards, Chairman.
The Board has commenced a process to appoint Richards' successor, to be led by the Senior Independent Director and the Non-Executive Directors, and McErlain, who joined BRCK in April 2022, brings more than 30 years as a communications adviser, having co-founded and sold an investor and financial communications business in 2000, served as Corporate Affairs Director at Ultra Electronics until 2019 and acted as a non-executive director on several boards since 2020.
