Arkadian Strategic Metals (AIM:AKN), the AIM-listed strategic metals and gold exploration company, has completed its 2026 field programme at the Motzfeldt Critical Metals Project in South Greenland.
The project targets rare earth elements, niobium, tantalum and zirconium across three areas: Aries, Merino and Voskop.
Field teams collected four bulk sample lots, each weighing approximately 500 to 600 kilograms, from the Aries mineral resource area, targeting rare earth-niobium mineralisation using tantalum as an indicator for pyrochlore-bearing zones. The samples are now in transit to the UK for mineralogical and processing test work.
Hyperspectral consultant TheiaX completed spectral scanning and photogrammetry across all three target areas, gathering 198 spectrometer readings across 40 Aries locations aimed at identifying neodymium responses, one of the more commercially valuable rare earths.
A separate satellite data acquisition programme remains ongoing and will be integrated with the field datasets once complete.
Danish consultancy BioApp ApS carried out environmental baseline studies at prospective infrastructure sites, including bathymetric surveys at two potential port locations, feeding into the continuing engineering review led by NIRAS.

The company will next determine the scope of further Aries metallurgical test work following technical review of the new bulk samples and processing of the spectral datasets.
