Bango (AIM:BGO) has signed LG U+, a major South Korean telecommunications provider with over 30 million wireless subscriptions, as the latest customer for its Digital Vending Machine (DVM) platform.

The deal will see LG U+ use the DVM to rapidly add global and local subscription services to Udok, its existing platform that lets customers discover, bundle and manage subscriptions spanning streaming, lifestyle, AI and education.

Bango's DVM platform underpins subscription bundling for telcos, banks and retailers, managing the full lifecycle from onboarding providers through to upgrades, downgrades, cancellations and promotional offers.

The Cambridge-based company has been expanding the DVM across East Asia, and the LG U+ agreement builds on that push, giving the telco the flexibility to deploy new bundles as consumer preferences shift and to gather data on customer engagement to refine its offering.

Bango's active DVM subscriptions reached 25.6 million in the six months to 30 June, up 33% year-on-year, with eight new DVM customer wins secured so far in the current financial year, six of them contracted, according to the company's most recent trading update.

"The Bango DVM provides LG U+ the flexibility to rapidly add high-demand global and local subscription services and create sophisticated bundles, while reducing the complexity of launching and managing them," said Bango chief executive Paul Larbey, calling the deal "another important step in the global expansion of the Bango DVM."

Yongsung Cho, head of partnership business at LG U+, said the DVM "gives us the agility to expand our subscription offering quickly and efficiently, bringing customers greater choice across both global and local services."
