Concurrent Technologies (AIM:CNC), a designer and manufacturer of computer products and mission-critical systems for major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in high-performance markets, has appointed Emma Ciechan as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Director from 5 October.
Ciechan joins from DS Smith, the former London-listed packaging manufacturer with revenues of £6.8 billion, where she spent 10 years in senior finance roles, most recently as Finance Director across its Paper, Recycling & Capex and Paper Sourcing & Procurement divisions.
She has worked on acquisitions and corporate transactions, including supporting integration planning following International Paper's takeover of DS Smith.
Ciechan previously held Group Financial Controller and senior finance roles at Guardian Media Group, News UK and Kantar.
She succeeds Kim Garrod, who announced her intention to retire on 13 April and will remain with the company until 30 November to support the handover.
