Avon Technologies (LSE:AVON), the British provider of protective equipment for military and first-responder markets, has confirmed that its Team Wendy Ceradyne division has received delivery orders totalling more than $40 million from the US Army Contracting Command and the Defense Logistics Agency.

The orders are drawn down under the Next Generation Integrated Head Protection System (NG-IHPS) helmet contract, originally awarded in September 2021, and represent the conversion of that programme into funded purchase activity.

Team Wendy is Avon's specialist ballistic and impact protection helmet business, sitting alongside the group's Avon Protection respiratory systems unit.

The announcement gives no figure for the timing of revenue recognition, though delivery orders of this size against an existing contract award indicate near-term manufacturing and fulfilment activity for the division.
