Alien Metals (AIM:UFO) relayed to its investors that GreenTech Metals (ASX:GRE), a company in which Alien holds around 10%, has reported further diamond drilling results at the Whundo copper-zinc-gold project in the West Pilbara, Western Australia.
The standout results came from two prospects: Yannery, where hole 26GTDD014 returned 11.6 metres at 0.9% copper, 1.2% zinc and 2.2 g/t silver from 68.5 metres, and Austin, where hole 26GTDD017 intersected 7 metres at 2.5% copper, 20.7 g/t silver and 0.1 g/t gold from surface.
A second Austin hole, 26GTDD018, returned 1.5 metres at 2.6% copper, 0.7% zinc, 7.0 g/t silver and 0.1 g/t gold from 257.6 metres, with a further 1.3 metres at 1.8% copper, 4.5 g/t silver and 0.4 g/t gold from 263.6 metres.
Yannery lies outside the current Whundo Mineral Resource, which stands at 6.2 million tonnes grading 1.12% copper and 1.04% zinc under the JORC 2012 code, and GreenTech said the new intercepts add potential material for consideration in a future resource update.
Alongside its stake in GreenTech, Alien Metals holds a separate 30% joint venture interest in the adjacent Munni Munni PGE-copper-nickel project, free-carried through to completion of a bankable feasibility study.

The Whundo project itself remains wholly owned by GreenTech, meaning Alien's financial exposure to today's drilling results runs entirely through its equity position rather than any direct project interest.
Vince Fayad, Executive Director of Alien Metals, said the Yannery and Austin results provide further evidence of resource growth potential at Whundo, including additional near-surface copper mineralisation.
"Our shareholding in GreenTech gives Alien shareholders continuing exposure to this exploration progress, alongside our separate 30% interest in Munni Munni," Fayad said.
GreenTech expects assay results from a further eight drill holes at Whundo in November.
