Visum Technologies (AQSE:VIS) will change its name and reposition as the first UK publicly listed pure‑play in modular, containerised edge AI compute infrastructure, and intends to raise funds by way of a placing of new shares to provide working capital, recruit a senior technical team, secure original‑equipment‑manufacturer hardware allocations and develop its first proof‑of‑concept compute deployment.
The board, which has appointed Jonathan Bixby and completed a strategic review announced in December, said the move targets structural limits in centralised cloud infrastructure, latency, data sovereignty, rising power costs and multi‑year grid connection delays, that it believes are driving demand for distributed, rapidly deployable compute close to data, energy and customers.
“Modular, containerised edge AI compute is the architecture this transition requires, and there is currently no publicly listed pure‑play vehicle giving investors direct exposure to this opportunity,” said Barry Cushley, Chairman.
The company said it will announce its new name and amended Aquis Stock Exchange Growth Market ticker shortly, that the board is in discussions with potential investors, and that further fundraising details will be published in a separate announcement.
