Young & Co.'s Brewery (AIM:YNGA), the premium operator of pubs and bedrooms across London and the South of England, said FTSE Russell has confirmed its A shares will join the FTSE 250 index on 9 October.
The inclusion follows a period of expansion for the group, which moved from AIM to the Main Market earlier this year and has grown its estate through acquisitions including the eight Cubitt House pubs in London completed in April.
"Joining the FTSE 250 is a significant milestone for Young's and the latest step in a journey that has transformed the scale and quality of our business," said chief executive Simon Dodd.
He added that the company has "sharpened our focus on premium managed pubs, invested significantly in our existing estate, expanded through disciplined acquisitions" while staying focused on "outstanding pubs, in exceptional locations, run by brilliant people."
The index move comes weeks after Young's told investors that full-year performance is expected to be ahead of market expectations, with total revenue up 10.4% in the 26 weeks to 28 September and like-for-like sales accelerating to 7.9% in the final 13 weeks of that period.
Dodd said the FTSE 250 listing reflects "the hard work of our teams and the continued support of our shareholders," with the company's interim results due on 12 November.
