Aterian defines copper-silver targets at Agdz East

Aterian (LSE:ATN), the AIM-listed critical and strategic metals exploration company, said an independent interpretation of high-resolution ground magnetic data has identified multiple priority copper-silver exploration targets at its wholly owned Agdz project in Morocco's Eastern Anti-Atlas Copper Belt.

The survey area has been expanded by approximately 140%, and the interpretation has mapped kilometre-scale fault corridors seen as potential mineralising structures.

The structural model shows strong geological similarities to the nearby Bou Skour deposit, a polymetallic mining district roughly 17 kilometres northeast of Agdz containing approximately 53 million tonnes at 0.8% copper and 9 grams per tonne silver.

Historic rock sampling at Agdz has returned grades of up to 3.47% copper and 136 grams per tonne silver.

"The strong structural similarities with the nearby 53 million-tonne Bou Skour deposit are particularly encouraging and provide important validation of our exploration model," said Charles Bray, Aterian's executive chairman.

The company will integrate the magnetic data with hyperspectral imagery, historical exploration results and AI-enabled targeting technology from Lithosquare to refine drill targets.

Trenching is already underway at the priority structures, with results expected before the end of the third quarter.
