Jubilee Metals Group (AIM:JLP) announced it has completed Roan concentrator's annual maintenance, commissioned a new fine copper concentrate dewatering circuit and has resumed its ramp‑up.
The miner is targeting 30,000 tonnes per month of run‑of‑mine throughput.
Jubilee, an integrated copper producer in Zambia, said that the fines concentrate stream represents about 25.5% of the contained copper in Roan's feed, and monthly fines include roughly 140 tonnes of previously stockpiled copper now available for processing at Sable.
During May, Jubilee upgraded the copper oxide flotation circuit to target a 5% lift in recoveries to partly offset near 80% rises in local fuel prices, and acid consumption and transport account for about 20% and 16% of monthly expenditure, respectively.
The dewatering circuit has demonstrated capacity above current fines output and is being optimised for stable continuous operation, while substantial stocks of naturally dried fine concentrate provide a buffer for transport to Sable.
"The successful progression of the Roan dewatering circuit through commissioning and ramp-up marks another important milestone in the expansion of our Zambia copper operations.," said Leon Coetzer, Jubilee CEO.
The company said it will update copper production guidance once steady‑state performance is demonstrated consistently across the integrated Roan and Sable circuits.
