DP Poland (AIM:DPP), which operates Domino's pizza stores across Poland and Croatia, has appointed Łukasz Ostrowski as chief executive.

The appointment takes effect on 3 August, succeeding Nils Gornall, who leaves after four years in which the estate grew from 116 stores to more than 200 and the group shifted to a profitable, franchise-led model.

Ostrowski joins from OTCF S.A., owner of the 4F sports and apparel brand, where as deputy chief executive he led the scaling of its e-commerce and digital customer platform.

He previously spent more than seven years at IKEA, including as interim chief executive and chief operating officer of IKEA Netherlands and chief operating officer of IKEA China, where he drove the retailer's move into omnichannel sales.

He was also chief executive of Groupon Poland and has held commercial roles at Vision Express, Danone and Mars.

Chairman David Wild said Ostrowski's experience in scaling multi-site consumer businesses and digital platforms was "highly relevant" given that online and app-based orders account for the substantial majority of Domino's sales in the group.

"I have spent my career scaling multi-site consumer businesses in Poland and internationally, and my focus will be on execution," Ostrowski said.

The appointment remains subject to regulatory due diligence by the company's nominated adviser.

Trading remains in line with the board's expectations, with no change to the FY2026 outlook set out on 14 July.

News Intelligence what this means for the company

DP Poland has appointed Łukasz Ostrowski, a former IKEA and OTCF executive, as CEO from 3 August, replacing Nils Gornall who oversaw the company's expansion from 116 to over 200 stores and shift to a franchise-led model. The appointment is tailored to DP Poland's digital-first operations—online and app-based orders account for the substantial majority of group sales—and the board has confirmed trading remains on track with no change to FY2026 guidance.

Investment case

The CEO transition occurs against a backdrop of operational momentum: the company is delivering double-digit system sales growth and has successfully scaled its franchise model. Ostrowski's track record in omnichannel retail and multi-site scaling aligns with DP Poland's strategic priorities, though execution risk attends any leadership change. The appointment remains subject to regulatory approval.
