Alba Mineral Resources (AIM:ALBA) announced it will change its name to Arkadian Strategic Metals, which it says will better reflect a broadened portfolio combining its Welsh gold assets and strategic metals interests, notably a majority stake in the Motzfeldt Critical Metals Project in Greenland.

The company, a gold and strategic metals focused exploration and development company, noted that Greenland's government recently approved its acquisition of the Motzfeldt project, and it continues to advance Welsh assets including the Clogau‑St David's Gold Mine and the wider Dolgellau Gold Belt.

"The renaming marks a clear statement of intent; our strategic metal assets, particularly at Motzfeldt in Greenland, position us within an emerging, Western‑aligned supply chain for critical metals," George Frangeskides, Executive Chairman.

The AIM ticker will change from ALBA to AKN.
