London BTC Company (LSE:BTC) said its US technical team is now on the ground, led by Schiehallion Consulting's Finn Hunter alongside US partner Dahrouge Geological Consulting.
The London-listed gold, silver and critical-minerals explorer is running two workstreams in parallel: due diligence on a fresh pipeline of 32 mineralised targets, and field exploration on its existing Nevada projects.
"With multiple workstreams now running in parallel, we anticipate a very active remainder of 2026," said Hewie Rattray, chief executive of London BTC.
Exploration of the existing portfolio starts at Teep in early September, followed by Black Star, Amonett-Frank and Huntington-Whitman, with additional field teams mobilising mid-September.
Those four projects were staked on the back of rock chip results including 40.56 grams per tonne gold and 1,332.5 g/t silver at Teep, and 143.1 g/t gold at Amonett-Frank.
Technical assessments by Dahrouge are due in mid-October to sharpen the economic case for the existing sites.
New-project staking is expected to begin in September, with first acquisitions from mid-October running through to late November.
Samples will be sent to Nevada laboratories in weekly batches from mid-September, with gold and silver assays using PhotonAssay technology expected from late September, and slower-turnaround antimony and tungsten results following from late October.
Rattray also flagged plans to expand the company's US Bitcoin mining fleet next quarter, with updates to follow once decisions are finalised.
News Intelligence what this means for the company
London BTC has mobilised a US technical team to run two parallel workstreams: due diligence screening on 32 new mineral targets across Nevada, Arizona and Texas, and field exploration on its existing four-project Nevada portfolio starting in early September. This represents execution on the phase two Nevada workstreams mobilised on 24 August 2026, with technical assessments from partner Dahrouge due mid-October to sharpen the economic case for existing sites; the company also flagged plans to expand its US Bitcoin mining fleet next quarter.
The announcement confirms London BTC is advancing its stated strategy of building a capital-light precious-metals exploration portfolio as a hedge and potential funding source for Bitcoin mining expansion. Execution risk remains material—assay results and technical assessments in October will determine whether the 32 new targets and existing four projects yield economic prospects; the company's ability to fund both exploration and mining expansion depends on outcomes from this field season.
