Digital health group MedPal AI (AIM:MPAL) launched New Health as a specialist consumer brand focused initially on GLP-1 weight management and broader peptide opportunities, supported by a £1.3m national consumer marketing campaign.
MedPal AI describes itself as an AI-native digital health and pharmacy platform. It said New Health will sit separately from the MedPal Clinic app while remaining connected to the company’s regulated infrastructure, including NHS-contracted dispensing hubs in Runcorn and Swaffham, Distance Selling Pharmacy licences, direct supply agreements with Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk, and an AI layer running on Google Vertex AI.
The marketing programme is planned as performance-led digital activity phased over six months, directing traffic to new.co.uk and new.uk to increase qualified consultations, conversions to recurring patients and monitored metrics such as customer acquisition cost and gross contribution.
The Board cited published research to justify timing, including Morgan Stanley’s £140bn global GLP-1 forecast to 2035 and Grand View Research’s UK prescription weight-loss market projection from £313m in 2025 to c.£1.85bln by 2033 (compound annual growth of about 25% from 2026 to 2033), and noted IQVIA data showing 2.37m UK citizens had access to GLP-1s in July 2025, of whom ~200,000 accessed treatment via the NHS, while stressing there is no certainty on UK approval, timing, supply or prescribing for oral semaglutide.
"Our £1.3 million marketing investment is designed to build New Health as a scalable consumer channel, not as generic corporate advertising," said Jason Drummond, founder and chief executive.
The CEO has licensed the domain names new.co.uk and new.uk to the company for nil consideration for an initial six months, a related party transaction the non-interested directors have reviewed and considered fair, and the company will have the option to acquire the domains at the end of that period.
MedPal AI said it will monitor traffic, consultations, retention and unit economics in real time and scale marketing only where governance, capacity and unit economics support it, with the anticipated UK regulatory decision on Novo Nordisk’s oral Wegovy pill expected as the principal near-term catalyst.
