Imaging Biometrics (LSE:IBAI) said it's in active discussions with a number of prominent US academic medical centres and health systems, including nationally recognised leaders in neurology, neurosurgery and cancer care, in a shareholder update covering the quarter to 30 September.
The AIM-listed group develops FDA-cleared, CE and UKCA-marked quantitative imaging software for brain tumour care, and has been pushing to convert clinical momentum into recurring subscription revenue after its return to profitability in the first half.
Two annual IB Clinic subscriptions landed during the quarter, one with a leading academic medical centre on 28 August and another with a leading health system on 15 September, adding to a subscription base the company says it has built over many years.
Those two deals follow a pattern set earlier in the year: the August agreement was with a major US Midwest academic medical centre for automated brain-tumour imaging analytics, with revenue recognised across the contract term and a full-year contribution not expected until 2027.
The institutions in discussions remain confidential at this stage, and the company cautioned that there is no certainty any talks will lead to a contract.
Imaging Biometrics also introduced a new market name, IB Vista, for the processing platform previously known internally as "Dolphin", which runs the clinically validated algorithms behind IB Clinic, including the QSMetric module, and feeds results into hospital reporting systems.
"The two new subscriptions this quarter add to a customer base built over many years, a proven and growing foundation," said Trevor Brown, chief executive.
"IB is in discussions with some of the most respected institutions in US neurology and cancer care, IB Vista gives us a single, proven platform to deploy on, and our job is to convert that pipeline into recurring business."
The company said it is exploring new applications for IB Nimble, its secure mobile collaboration platform, including pairing it with an AI model intended to support clinical decision-making.
Automated tumour segmentation and longitudinal reporting, features customers have requested, are expected to be completed during 2026 and rolled out from 2027, primarily through IB Vista.
The company's Expanded Access Program for oral gallium maltolate in adult recurrent glioblastoma is now open for enrolment, giving eligible patients access to the investigational treatment while building a clinical and imaging dataset.
Kirkstall, the organ-on-a-chip subsidiary acquired in October 2025, reported a trial system delivered to a large US pharmaceutical company through its US distributor, with a further opportunity progressing at a large US biotechnology company, which the board cited as evidence of growing traction for its Quasi Vivo platform in US life sciences.
