Active Energy Group (AIM:AEG) has been invited to meet senior officials from the Bahrain Economic Development Board to discuss the growth of digital infrastructure in the Gulf and explore potential opportunities within the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting will be with Musab Abdulla, Executive Director of ICT at Bahrain EDB, and forms part of a wider industry event run in partnership with the Gulf Data Centre Alliance that brings together investors, operators, infrastructure providers and government stakeholders in the GCC digital infrastructure sector.
Active Energy Group, a digital infrastructure and energy platform focused on the Gulf Cooperation Council region, says it has established an initial operational footprint in the United Arab Emirates and is evaluating expansion across the GCC through deployment of modular digital infrastructure solutions and strategic local partnerships.
The company described Bahrain as an attractive market due to a supportive regulatory environment, rising demand for digital infrastructure and a strategic position within the wider GCC ecosystem, and says the discussions will examine whether its modular projects can support opportunities in the Kingdom.
Discussions remain at an early, exploratory stage, there is no certainty any commercial arrangements or projects will result, and the board views participation in the event as an important component of its broader GCC growth strategy.
