Raspberry Pi Holdings (LSE:RPI), the Cambridge-based maker of low-cost computing hardware, has appointed Tim Powell as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, effective 16 October.

Powell joins after prior roles at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and Alpha.

Richard Boult, who flagged his intention to step down in October 2025, will remain in post until 31 October to ensure a clean handover.

Chairman Martin Hellawell said Powell "brings deep experience of scaling fast-growing businesses and navigating periods of significant strategic development."

Powell takes the role as Raspberry Pi expands its global distribution across three markets: industrial and embedded applications, enthusiast and education, and semiconductors. The company has sold more than 73 million units to date.
