Eco Buildings Group (AIM:ECOB) has launched Eco Buildings United Kingdom and executed a binding framework agreement with Noventum to introduce its glass fibre reinforced gypsum (GFRG) system into the UK housing market.
The UK-focused subsidiary will progress an initial pilot programme of two demonstration homes on sites identified by a potential development partner, using a systemised delivery aligned to Passivhaus requirements and sourcing GFRG panels from the Group's Albanian manufacturing facility while evaluating a future UK production base, the company said.
The framework with Noventum, led by Ben Thompson and Alister Bennett, pairs Eco Buildings' proprietary construction technology with Noventum's construction innovation, procurement and project delivery expertise.
"The UK requires not only more homes, but fundamentally better and more efficient ways of delivering them," Dr Etrur Albani said.
EBUK intends to target housing associations and other sector participants to demonstrate speed, quality, thermal performance and cost advantages as it seeks to scale deployment across a market the company describes as supply-constrained.
