Avon Technologies (LSE:AVON), the respiratory and ballistic protection group, has secured a $10.8 million order for military respirator systems from an unnamed European NATO member, placed through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) framework contract.
The order covers FM50 twin-filter air purifying respirators (APR), FM61EU filters, and accessories, and is intended to support the modernisation of protective capability for military personnel in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threat environments.
Avon Technologies said the order further underpins expectations for the financial year ending 2027.
Chief Executive Jos Sclater described the award as evidence of "Avon Protection's long-standing position as a trusted supplier to NATO and allied forces," adding that the NSPA framework "provides a strong platform for repeatable demand as customers upgrade and standardise their equipment."
Avon Protection currently supplies respiratory systems to 16 NATO nations under the NSPA framework, positioning the contract vehicle as a recurring source of orders rather than a one-off award.
The FM50 is a full-face respirator built to NATO military specifications, designed to reduce breathing resistance and extend operational wear time in hazardous field conditions.
