Gana Media Group (LSE:MOS) has appointed Lorenzo Caci as Chief Operating Officer, giving him oversight of all global business areas as he supports the CEO in the Group's expansion.

Caci previously led the company's iGaming business in Mexico through the build-up to and duration of the World Cup, taking the user base past 55,000 while lifting first-time deposits and gross gaming revenues.

He brings more than 20 years across sports data, iGaming technology and digital media, having progressed from director-level roles at Sportradar covering Southern Europe, the Americas and the subcontinent, before founding and scaling technology platforms in emerging markets.

He currently co-founds sweepstake gaming ventures and advises game studios and media groups with a focus on Latin American markets.

"I am delighted to have Lorenzo as our Chief Operating Officer," said CEO Mark Epstein. "His leadership, skill and knowledge will be invaluable to the Company as we continue our growth," he added.

Caci said he was "extremely happy to take up this leadership role" and pointed to "a significant opportunity in front of us."
