Applied Nutrition (LSE:APN), the UK sports‑nutrition group, is now rated Buy by analyst at Panmure Liberum, which hava also raised the price target to 330p from 300p, following Monday's strong showing.
Panmure Liberum says three catalysts announced on Monday underpin the bullish call: a forecast upgrade driving profit (PBT) more than 6% higher, a strategic US acquisition that creates a platform of infrastructure, brands and customers to scale from, and a North American flavour and retail collaboration with Mondelez that opens doors into Walmart and GNC retail opportunities.
These newly announced factors improve the prospect of earnings quality meaningfully, according to the broker.
Panmure Liberum's note highlighted that the PBT upgrade was achieved despite negative impact from the Middle East war, that the US deal mirrors how Applied Nutrition scaled in the UK, and that licensing, partnerships and white‑label manufacturing should deliver faster, higher‑quality margin growth.
Panmure flags the group's FY26 trading update in August and the delivery of the US integration and retail roll‑out as the next proof points for its bullish thesis.
On Monday, Applied Nutrition shares climbed 10.47% to 269p.
