Arkadian mobilises field teams to Motzfeldt for 2026 season

"All travel, equipment and services procurement and the principal logistics are now substantially in place, allowing our team, plus the teams from our field contractors TheiaX and BioApp, to start to mobilise to site from the end of this week," Rooks said.

Arkadian Strategic Metals (AIM:AKN), the AIM-listed strategic metals and gold exploration and development company, said its field team will mobilise to the Motzfeldt Critical Metals Project in South Greenland from 26 July, with first activities starting 29 July.

The programme follows the company's operational update of 30 June and will run alongside two specialist contractors, TheiaX and BioApp, who will carry out hyperspectral surveying at the Merino prospect and environmental baseline studies respectively.

Rougher and cleaner flotation tests under the first-pass beneficiation programme in South Africa have been completed, with assay results from the concentrates and tailings expected around the beginning of August.

Arkadian is also relogging historic Motzfeldt drill core, with work planned in Nuuk in the fourth quarter, and has begun licence-scale satellite remote sensing to help pinpoint bulk sampling targets during the field campaign.

A bulk sample is due to be collected from the Aries JORC resource area, with logistics for its onward transportation now being finalised.

Principal Geologist Dr Curtis Rooks is scheduled to meet representatives of the Municipality of Kujalleq in Qaqortoq on 27 July to discuss the programme and community engagement plans.

"All travel, equipment and services procurement and the principal logistics are now substantially in place, allowing our team, plus the teams from our field contractors TheiaX and BioApp, to start to mobilise to site from the end of this week," Rooks said.

SRK Consulting's review of existing metallurgical data for the Aries deposit will be completed once the final flotation test results are in hand.

News Intelligence what this means for the company

Arkadian is mobilising field teams to its Motzfeldt project in South Greenland from late July, with flotation assay results expected in early August and a bulk sample collection planned from the Aries resource area. This execution step follows the technical programme announced on 30 June, moving from planning into active fieldwork and metallurgical testing that will feed into SRK Consulting's review of the deposit's development potential.

Investment case

The fieldwork and assay timeline are now concrete, but the investment case remains contingent on metallurgical results and the bulk sample outcome. No material change to the company's strategic position until August data arrives and SRK's review is complete.
