Avon Technologies (LSE:AVON) said its Team Wendy unit has received a follow-on delivery order worth $20.1m from the Defense Logistics Agency.

The order sits under the second-generation Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH GEN II) framework contract, originally announced in February 2022.

Chief executive Jos Sclater said the group has spent three years strengthening Team Wendy through operational and manufacturing improvements.

"This follow-on order is a strong endorsement of the improvements we have made and reinforces our position on the ACH GEN II programme," he said.

Sclater added that improving execution and delivery performance is translating into "growing customer confidence" from the DLA.

Avon Technologies operates through two units: Avon Protection, which makes respiratory and protective systems, and Team Wendy, a specialist in ballistic and impact protection helmets.

News Intelligence what this means for the company

Team Wendy Ceradyne has secured a $20.1m follow-on delivery order under the ACH GEN II framework, representing continued customer confidence after three years of operational improvements at the unit. This order sits within a framework originally announced in February 2022, and the CEO explicitly tied the win to improved execution and delivery performance, signalling that manufacturing upgrades are translating into repeat business from the Defence Logistics Agency.

Investment case

The order reinforces Team Wendy's position on a major US helmet programme and demonstrates that operational improvements are yielding tangible contract wins. At $20.1m, this is material relative to the group's H1 FY26 revenue of $160.8m (1.2% of half-year sales), and adds to a pipeline of post-period wins that management flagged when guiding to meet or exceed FY26 targets.
