It has agreed a binding national framework with The Gambia's government to build a minimum 10,000-home programme and establish a West African manufacturing and technology hub.

It has held direct talks with two Gambian government ministers on affordable housing and local manufacturing, part of a wider West Africa growth push.

Eco Buildings Group has named Graham Stevens as independent Non-Executive Director and Chris Gilbert as Executive Director, as Ahmet Shala steps down after more than three years on the board.

The UK-listed industrialised housing firm has completed the second-floor structure of the first block at its Rolling Hills development in Tirane, with the third and final floor now under construction.

"The UK requires not only more homes, but fundamentally better and more efficient ways of delivering them," Dr Etrur Albani said.

Eco Buildings Group has finished the sub‑ground parking and ground floor of the first 18‑unit apartment block at the Rolling Hills development in Tirane, a project the company says will generate about €2.2m of revenue per block.
