The USPTO has issued a Notice of Allowance covering the collagen-boosting mechanism behind BSF Enterprise's ETSYL peptide, strengthening the IP backing its licensing deal with SCHAKAU.
It has converted part of its convertible loan note into new BSF Enterprise shares, chipping away at the biotech's outstanding debt.

A worldwide licensing deal for BSF's collagen-stimulating peptide sent shares up sharply, the latest jolt in a run of announcements that has kept the AIM stock in near-constant motion.
It has signed exclusive worldwide Heads of Terms with SCHAKAU Managementberatung to commercialise its ETSYL bioactive peptide across luxury cosmetics and skincare.
The tissue engineering company has signed non-binding terms with IMPOSTER to launch its lab-grown leather in the North American luxury market without committing cash capital.
Lab-Grown Leather took home a Gold, Silver and two Bronze Lions at Cannes Lions 2026, validating the commercial positioning of BSF's bioengineered T-Rex Leather material.
"While the public auction bidding didn't meet our historic reserve, the commercial validation we required has been emphatically achieved," said Dr Che Connon, CEO.
It is now being prepared for sale to a select group of high‑net‑worth collectors and institutions, the company said.
"The facility provides additional working capital and financial flexibility as we continue to develop our commercial opportunities across the Company's tissue‑engineered product portfolio," Geoff Baker, Chairman, said.
BSF Enterprise placed 25m new shares at 2p each, raising £500,000 before expenses.

Lab‑Grown Leather's flagship bio‑engineered 'T‑rex' leather handbag will be featured in Hôtel Drouot’s auction catalogue, with an official price estimate of €500,000.
The tissue-engineering biotech platform, said its Lab‑Grown Leather subsidiary will auction a tanned T‑Rex Leather handbag on 11 June as it prepares to seek spin‑out funding to scale production.
