Anglesey Mining (AIM:AYM) (AIM: AYM) confirmed the appointment of James McFarlane as Principal Geologist on a retained basis.
The company owns 100% of the Parys Mountain copper-zinc-lead-silver-gold volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) project in North Wales.
McFarlane is a Chartered Geologist and Chartered Engineer with more than 20 years of international experience across mineral exploration, resource evaluation, mine development and mining operations, with specific expertise in VMS deposits and UK mine development.
He joins the executive management team to guide geological interpretation, future Mineral Resource updates and exploration strategy, while supporting the ongoing economic reassessment of Parys Mountain.
He will also mentor the company's recently appointed Exploration Geologist.
"Parys Mountain is one of the UK's most exciting polymetallic development projects, with considerable exploration upside alongside an established Mineral Resource," McFarlane said.
Chief executive Andrew Fulton said the appointment brings technical expertise and disciplined project development to build on decades of prior geological work at the site.
