Cornish Metals announced it has intersected mineralised structures west of its current South Crofty Mineral Resource envelopes, in Cornwall, with drillhole SDD26_001A drilled down to a final depth of 1,199 metres at Roskear.
The completion marks one half of a two‑hole drill programme testing western extensions of Roskear B and Roskear South, and priority targets beyond the current mineral resource area.
"The completion of SDD26_001A is an important milestone; visual indications are encouraging and support our interpretation of continued mineralisation west of the existing Mineral Resource areas," said Don Turvey, CEO of Cornish Metals.
SDD26_001A intersected along‑strike projections of Roskear 1 South, Roskear South, Roskear 6 North, Roskear 7 North and the targeted Roskear B structures.
Roskear South and Roskear B contain Mineral Resources reported in the company’s 2023 MRE, while the Roskear 1 South, 6 North and 7 North form part of the Roskear Numbered Zone that is not currently included in the MRE, highlighting potential opportunities for resource growth.
The rig will be realigned to commence SDD26_002 roughly 100 metres west to test the same structures.
Core samples from SDD26_001A are being prepared for shipment to ALS Laboratories in Loughrea, Ireland, with assay results expected in June 2026.
