PCI-PAL (AIM:PCIP), the AIM-listed cloud provider of secure payment solutions for business communications, has formally confirmed a reseller partnership with BT.

The agreement followed an extensive procurement process and was signed in March.

PCI Pal has since run an onboarding and enablement programme to prepare for broader activation of the tie-up.

The sales pipeline is now beginning to build, with the first customers acquired under the partnership.

Chief executive James Barham said BT brings "significant and global customer reach and expertise across a number of our key target markets", adding that BT's existing technology relationships with several of PCI Pal's current partners strengthen the fit.

Barham described the deal as the type of strategic partnership the company targeted when it set out its refreshed three-year plan, aimed at broadening reach and expanding its sales pipeline across small and medium-sized business and enterprise markets.

With onboarding "well progressed" and early commercial traction underway, the company said it expects to build momentum with the partnership through its 2027 financial year.

News Intelligence what this means for the company

PCI Pal has moved its BT reseller partnership from signature (March) into active commercial operation, with first customers now onboarded and a sales pipeline building toward FY27. The deal represents execution of the company's three-year strategic plan to broaden reach into SMB and enterprise markets via a partner with global customer footprint and existing technology relationships aligned with PCI Pal's own ecosystem.

Knock-on
  • BT's scale and existing customer relationships create a distribution channel that could materially accelerate PCI Pal's market penetration in target segments, contingent on sustained onboarding momentum through 2027.
Investment case

This confirms a material partnership is moving from procurement to revenue generation, validating the company's strategy to grow via channel partnerships rather than direct sales alone. The pace of customer acquisition and pipeline build through FY27 will be the key metric to assess whether BT can deliver the scale advantage the CEO cited.
