Spire Healthcare Group (LSE:SPI) has been named Team GB's exclusive Official Healthcare Services Partner, a strategic partnership running through the end of 2028 and covering the Los Angeles Olympic Games.

The deal centres on marketing and brand exposure rather than clinical delivery, with Spire pairing its network of 38 hospitals and more than 60 clinics against Team GB's athlete roster for campaigns, storytelling and workforce engagement events.

Spire, one of the UK's leading independent healthcare providers, treats more than 1.3 million patients a year and is the largest private provider by volume of knee and hip operations in the country.

Peter Corfield, the group's chief commercial officer, said the company wants "to support and inspire people to be active for healthier lives and faster recovery."

Team GB's chief commercial officer, Tim Ellerton, said the partnership aims to support athletes heading into Los Angeles while encouraging people across the UK to prioritise their health.

Spire plans to activate the sponsorship through a national marketing push spanning television, digital, social media and live events, positioning the tie-up as part of its broader strategy to lift brand awareness and community reach ahead of the 2028 Games.
