Zinc Media Group (LSE:ZIN), the AIM-listed international content creation group, has launched Cicada, a new label dedicated to AI-driven production across the business.
The move formalises a capability that grew from nothing in 2024 to several million pounds of revenue in 2025, spanning an AI industry trade event, an AI-powered television commercial and an AI-generated training film.
One prior credit, 'The Dreamer' for G42 with Kimi Antonelli, released late summer 2025, used entirely AI-generated holograms.
Cicada will work alongside Zinc's television and events labels and its brand content business, The Edge, supplying the tools to research, develop, produce and post-produce AI work across the Group.
Zinc expects the label to sharpen creative capability, improve workflow efficiency and support margin growth across its divisions.
The launch feeds into the group's medium-term targets of £50 million in revenue and £5 million in EBITDA, part of its stated strategy of scaling higher-margin growth areas.
"AI has gone from a nascent opportunity to a meaningful revenue line for Zinc in the space of a year," said Mark Browning, chief executive of Zinc Media Group.
"Cicada is how we scale that, embedding AI across every label, deepening what we can offer clients, and turning a fast-growing capability into a durable, high-margin part of the Group," he said.
