IXICO (AIM:IXI) announced on Monday that it has won a £2.7 million Phase 3 clinical trial contract in Huntington's disease, signed with an international biotechnology company and running over the next six years.
The AIM-listed neuroscience imaging and biomarker analytics company, which uses an AI-driven platform to support drug development in neurological disorders, said the award is its second Phase 3 Huntington's disease contract in the past 12 months.
The win follows two Alzheimer's disease contract awards IXICO announced in late October, extending a run of order book growth.
Bram Goorden, chief executive of IXICO, said the contract "demonstrates our continued progress in strengthening our order book through an increasing contribution from later-stage clinical trials, providing long-term revenue visibility and supporting our growth ambitions."
The company's order book stood at £16 million at the end of its 2026 financial year, up from £13.8 million a year earlier, according to its trading update issued on 20 October.
That update also flagged revenue for the year to 30 September expected to reach £8.3 million, up 28% on the £6.5 million reported in FY2025 and ahead of the company's own upgraded guidance of £8 million given on 7 July.
IXICO's contracted pipeline has been shaped in part by its Huntington's disease work: in July, the company disclosed that two sponsors had discontinued existing HD programmes, trimming the order book by about £1.5 million over two financial years, even as £8 million of new HD programme awards were secured in the first half.
