Frontier IP Group (AIM:FIPP), the intellectual property commercialisation specialist, said portfolio company Pulsiv has signed an exclusive manufacturing and wholesaling agreement with Delta Matrix Limited.
Frontier IP holds a 17.3% equity stake in Pulsiv.
The deal marks the first time customers will be able to buy physical products built on Pulsiv's OSMIUM AC to DC power conversion technology, which the company says wastes less energy as heat than conventional systems and can be designed into smaller spaces using fewer components.
Delta Matrix, part of the Easby Group, will manufacture USB output modules for use in chargers and sockets increasingly built into buildings, furniture, trains, planes and vehicles.
A sister company, Easby Electronics, will handle marketing, sales and distribution, while Pulsiv retains rights to license the technology to other companies.
More than two billion wall sockets are sold globally each year, with USB-enabled products expected to account for 600 million annual installations, a figure the companies expect to grow as new UK and EU rules, including updated Ecodesign requirements and Common Charger regulations, push demand for more efficient designs.
"The market potential is obvious and big", said Neil Crabb, Frontier IP's chief executive.
Easby Group chief executive Jason Crabtree said the two firms have collaborated on the technology for over two years, and that Delta Matrix is "extremely proud to have been selected as a long-term exclusive supplier partner by Pulsiv".
News Intelligence what this means for the company
Pulsiv, a Frontier IP portfolio company in which Frontier holds 17.3%, has signed its first exclusive manufacturing and distribution deal—with Delta Matrix (part of Easby Group) handling production and Easby Electronics managing sales. This moves OSMIUM AC-to-DC power conversion technology from lab to market for the first time, targeting USB power modules in a sector where 600 million annual USB-enabled socket installations are expected globally and regulatory pressure (UK/EU Ecodesign and Common Charger rules) is driving demand for efficient designs.
The deal validates Pulsiv's technology at commercial scale and opens a revenue stream for Frontier's portfolio, though Frontier's 17.3% stake means upside is diluted. The exclusivity arrangement with Delta Matrix locks Pulsiv into one manufacturer, which reduces flexibility but signals confidence from an established industrial partner.
