Kier Group (LSE:KIE) has secured a £140m extension to its role on South West Water's Network Services Alliance, continuing as the sole contractor until March 2028.

The extension will see Kier, the infrastructure services, construction and property group, continue to deliver repair and maintenance, leakage activity, network reliability schemes, metering and developer services and support local supply chains and skills development across the region, the company said in an RNS.

The appointment continues a relationship of more than two decades between Kier and South West Water and follows a year in which Kier's teams completed more than 25,000 repair and maintenance jobs and over 32,000 metering activities in the area.

The NSA extension complements Kier's wider AMP8 footprint, where it has also been appointed to work with Anglian Water, Severn Trent, Southern Water, Thames Water, United Utilities and Yorkshire Water.
