Tristel (AIM:TSTL), in its trading update for the year ended 30 June, confirmed another year of double-digit growth with results in line with market expectations and the AIM-listed company's own performance targets.

The infection prevention company, which makes decontamination devices, said revenue rose 10% to £51.1m, up from £46.5m the previous year, matching the consensus forecast management said it understood the market to hold.

Adjusted pre-tax profit grew 14% to no less than £11.5m, against £10.1m a year earlier, marginally ahead of the £11.4m consensus figure, adjusted for share-based payments, exceptional items and research and development tax credits. Earnings (adjusted EBITDA) margin stayed comfortably above the company's 25% target, and Tristel remained debt-free and cash generative, with cash balances of £16m at year-end, up from £12.8m a year earlier.

"We continue to meet our performance targets of delivering double-digit revenue growth each year, and maintaining adjusted EBITDA margins of at least 25%," said Anna Wasyl, chief financial officer and interim chief executive.

Wasyl said the company remains "debt-free, cash-generative, and confident in our ability to continue to sustain this momentum in the years ahead."

New chief executive Chris Lee joins the company on 1 August, taking over as Tristel targets further overseas expansion in the new financial year.
