Nexteq (AIM:NXQ) said its Densitron display and human machine interface brand has won a new order from a new customer, a supplier of automotive electronics, for customised display solutions in a new electric delivery vehicle application.

The AIM-listed technology solutions provider said the work involves customised display engineering and specification refinement to meet the customer's requirements. Production is expected to start in the second half of the 2026 financial year, with volumes anticipated to rise materially over the following three years as the customer's product rollout expands.

Nexteq said the win extends its presence into the automotive sector, broadening exposure across industrial end-markets and evidencing pipeline conversion tied to its engineering-led growth strategy.

"This new customer diversifies our end-market exposure and supports our strategy of growing revenue across a broader range of industrial vertical markets through higher-quality, differentiated technology solutions," said chief executive Duncan Faithfull.

He added that the order "provides a clear pathway to increasing production volumes as the customer moves towards mass production, creating a platform for future revenue growth in the automotive and transportation sector."

The company frames the deal as a signpost for its strategy of expanding into new industrial markets and building trust as an outsourced technology partner, with the customer relationship expected to scale as the vehicle programme ramps toward mass production.

News Intelligence what this means for the company

Densitron has secured its first automotive customer for electric vehicle display solutions, with production ramping from H2 2026 over three years as the customer scales toward mass production. This marks Nexteq's entry into automotive—a new industrial vertical—and validates its engineering-led strategy of converting pipeline into diversified end-market revenue, moving beyond its traditional industrial installation base.

Investment case

The win demonstrates pipeline conversion and end-market diversification, but remains early-stage: production does not begin until H2 2026, and 'materially rising' volumes are contingent on the customer's vehicle rollout pace, which remains unspecified. The deal's revenue contribution over the next 12–24 months is likely immaterial without disclosure of unit economics or customer scale.
