Gunsynd (AIM:GUN), the AIM-listed natural resources investment company, has received multi-element geochemical assay results for 59 rock samples collected during the Phase 1 summer field program at its Barb Gold Project in Manitoba, Canada.
The results follow the company's 25 June announcement of high-grade gold grab samples returning up to 489 g/t Au from the Lotus and Betty showings. The new data identifies a gold-arsenic-bismuth-tellurium, with copper, geochemical signature across the project, which Gunsynd says will sharpen future drill targeting.
The highest-grade Lotus sample, at 489 g/t Au, carried 0.462% bismuth and 0.254% tellurium alongside it.
A separate mineralised grab sample assayed 15 g/t Au with 10.5% copper, while arsenic values reached 18.1% across the system.
At Lotus, 12 samples showed visible gold, with five exceeding 80 g/t Au.
Betty returned lower peak grades, up to 27.2 g/t Au, but seven samples exceeded 5 g/t Au, with high-grade zones tied to elevated copper, silver and arsenic, including 53.9 g/t silver.
"The multi-element assay results now provide important insight into the geochemical signature of the system, confirming the presence of key pathfinder elements associated with the gold mineralisation," said Hamish Harris, executive director of Gunsynd.
Harris said the data will be integrated with geological mapping and structural interpretation to refine targeting as the project advances toward its next exploration phase.
