Hamak Strategy reports further high‑grade, near‑surface gold intercepts at Akoko

The explorer said assays from seven additional RC holes at its Akoko oxide gold project returned 2.12g/t Au over 28m and 1.57g/t Au over 14m, reinforcing the near‑surface oxide model.

Hamak Strategy (LSE:HAMA) reported further high‑grade reverse‑circulation drilling results from its Akoko oxide gold project in southwest Ghana.

The London‑listed exploer, which pairs West African gold exploration with a digital‑asset treasury, said assays from seven shallow holes totalling 405m included 2.12g/t Au over 28m from 3m depth (including 4.41g/t over 10m) and 1.57g/t Au over 14m from 16m (including 3.15g/t over 3m and 2.34g/t over 4m).

"The latest batch include further high‑grade intersections that validate the geological model of near‑surface oxide gold mineralization," said Karl Smithson, CEO and Executive Director.

Drilling to date has focused on Akoko North with 33 holes for 1,947m completed, assays have now been reported for 29 of the planned 38 holes.

Seven holes remain in Akoko North before the rig is moved to Akoko South, where 36 RC holes are planned, subject to access during the rainy season.

Further drilling results will be announced as the programme continues, the explorer added.
