Enwell Energy (AIM:ENW), the AIM-quoted oil and gas exploration and production group, said an arbitration tribunal has issued an order embodying interim measures agreed with Ukraine in its treaty dispute with the state.
The company launched proceedings under the UK-Ukraine investment protection treaty in August 2025, alleging a pattern of adverse actions against its local subsidiaries since December 2022, including asset freezes, office raids and the suspension of production and exploration licences.
Ukraine's State Geologic and Subsoil Survey suspended the Vasyschevskoye production licence and the Svystunivsko-Chervonolutskyi exploration licence between May 2023 and June 2024, and has kept the Mekhediviska-Golotvshinska, Svyrydivske and Vasyschevskoye production licences under suspension since November 2024.
Enwell applied in October 2025 for provisional measures after Ukrainian authorities pursued domestic legal actions the company feared could undermine its arbitration claim.
