Mkango Resources said its 50%-owned JV company HyProMag USA has taken possession of a 125,000 square‑foot site, at Ironhead Commerce Center in Denton County, Texas.
The site will serve as the central hub for HyProMag USA’s domestic recycling platform within a hub‑and‑spoke model supported by feedstock pre‑processing at Intelligent Lifecycle Solutions sites in South Carolina and Nevada.
With the lease effective, HyProMag USA will begin establishing an operational presence including communications, security and other foundational works while detailed engineering, procurement, feedstock sourcing and customer engagement proceed in parallel.
"Taking occupation of the Texas Hub is transformational for HyProMag USA," said CoTec CEO Julian Treger.
The facility is planned to apply HyProMag’s patented Hydrogen Processing of Magnet Scrap (HPMS) technology and, once fully operational, is expected to produce approximately 941 tonnes per annum of recycled sintered NdFeB magnets plus 611 tonnes per annum of NdFeB co‑products (1,552 tonnes payable capacity).
