Nexteq (AIM:NXQ) said its Densitron display and human machine interface brand has received a mass production purchase order for a Pro-AV integrated display solution built around its Tactila technology.

The AIM-listed technology solutions provider serves customers in selected industrial markets.

Tactila combines display, touch and tactile control, allowing rotary dials, buttons, haptic feedback and faders to sit within sealed, intuitive interfaces.

The order comes from a new customer in the professional audio-visual sector and will feed into a next-generation connected control product for professional installation environments. The contract is expected to start in the second half of the year, with unit volumes rising incrementally over four years.

Nexteq said several leading broadcast and professional audio-visual customers are moving to mass production with Tactila this year, as planned.

Chief executive Duncan Faithfull called the order "an important commercial validation of the investment we have made in this technology portfolio", framing it as evidence of the group's strategy to move beyond display hardware into complete system solutions.

The board believes the relationship could support further revenue as the customer advances its product roadmap and as Densitron builds momentum for Tactila in its target markets.

News Intelligence what this means for the company

Nexteq's Densitron brand has won a mass production order from a new professional audio-visual customer for Tactila touch-control technology, with contract work starting in H2 2026 and volumes rising incrementally over four years. The company frames this as validation of its shift from display hardware into complete system solutions, and notes that several leading broadcast and Pro-AV customers are moving to mass production with Tactila this year—but the story provides no financial scale (contract value, unit count, or revenue contribution) against which to judge materiality.

Investment case

The order supports Nexteq's stated strategy to transition into higher-margin system solutions rather than commodity displays, and the multi-year ramp suggests a durable customer relationship. However, without disclosure of contract value or unit volumes, investors cannot assess whether this represents a meaningful revenue inflection or a modest early-stage win in a nascent product category.
