Bunzl (LSE:BNZL) has acquired 100% of Blueleaf Care, a UK distributor of care and nursing home products.
The London-listed distribution and services group said on Thursday, through the newly added business, will now supply consumables, cleaning solutions, continence care products, equipment, furniture and PPE primarily to care homes, and generated revenue of £58m in 2025.
Chief executive Frank van Zanten said Blueleaf "further strengthens our position in the attractive UK care home market", adding that combining the two businesses would "broaden our customer proposition and provide opportunities to leverage our scale and capabilities."
It is the latest in a run of bolt-on acquisitions Bunzl has completed this year, following the purchase of Scientifix, an Australian life-sciences and biotechnology distributor, in April, and Ghessu Bath, a Spanish hospitality supplier.
Bunzl, previously, in its interim results, reported adjusted net debt to EBITDA of 1.8 times, below its 2.0 to 2.5 times target range, giving it headroom for further bolt-on deals alongside a newly announced £500m share buyback programme.
